My first day of NaNoWriMo was pretty productive!
I started super early (at about 1am) and by about 2:00 this morning I had 2,105 words. I couldn’t keep my eyes open, though, so I decided to call it a night. I planned on writing some more earlier this evening, but ended up missing my region’s first write-in so that I could keep Sandy and Kaylene company in the emergency room (Kay has pneumonia and some sort of influenza). (I totally did not mind missing said write-in, as my goddaughter’s health is way more important to me than anything. There will be many more write-ins, but there is only one Kaylene!)
I got back at it again at about 11pm (spent an hour or so catching up with my sister, who I haven’t really talked to this weekend because we were both so busy). My total word count is 3,743. I think that’s pretty damn good for the first day!
Somewhere I have a spreadsheet that I use every year to track my progress. I thought I had it saved on my personal flash drive, but it’s not. I know it’s definitely on my old flash drive, which I replaced because the slider part of it doesn’t work anymore. I don’t feel like looking for it right now, but I’ll definitely do it tomorrow.
During my first NaNo, I did fun little memes every night called my “daily toll”. I thought I’d do the same this year.
