F.A.Q.

Updated: April 25th, 2012

What happened to your old sites? Three(ish) words: book reviews and journal. Links in posts before 2011 may be broken; bear with me. We’re talking hundreds of posts.

What’s the deal with your Mystery Autoimmune Disease? It’s there. It’s still undiagnosed. The flareups still suck, majorly. I’m not letting it stop me, though.

As of December 2011, it’s quite likely that I have Rheumatoid Arthritis. I consider it my half diagnosis.

Why do you write about your experiences with chronic illness and depression? I’ve struggled with how open I am here on this little website, but it comes down to two things: it helps me, and it helps you. Until one or both of these things are no longer true, I will continue to tell my own story in my journal. If you don’t want to read about these things, that’s okay! Check out my articles, Creative Marketing series, discussions about writing, and book reviews.

If you’d like to learn more about what this blog is and isn’t, read my post creatively entitled What This Blog Is, What This Blog Isn’t.

When is Sade on the Wall going to be published? My Young Adult novel, Sade on the Wall, was a quarterfinalist in the 2012 Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award contest. Learn more about Sade on the Wall.

Whatever happened to the other novels you were working on? They are still unfinished. Occasionally, I “hear” my characters banging around in my head, demanding their stories to be finished. It might happen eventually, or they might end up being novels that were just for practice.

I finished my novel Secondhand Mom in November 2011. I plan on starting the editing process soon; it’s now been enough “away” time for me, but I’m busy with other projects.

Are you still going back to school? No. Not right now, anyway. I’m a crazy person and am living the “starving artist” lifestyle. As of April 2012, I’ve finally begun to gain a momentum in my fiction sales.

Do you still design websites and/or prepare internet marketing plans? NO. Hell no. That being said, I will totally give you some friendly advice if you need it. Hit me up.

Can I get your posts via email? Sure! Please go here and click on the email icon.

Do you have an email newsletter? Yes! Click here to sign up, or use the quick form in the sidebar.

Where can I see all of your articles about internet marketing? Check out my Creative Marketing road map, or watch my Creative Marketing Minute videos on YouTube.

Can I write for your website? I accept guest posts on the following subjects: chronic pain, depression, writing, and breaking out of the nine-to-five. I would especially like to host pieces about pursuing dreams while living with a chronic illness (such as Rheumatoid Arthritis or depression, for example).

I accept original pieces that have not been published anywhere else. If you have a piece that has already been published — and yes, blog posts do count — I will gladly link to it with an excerpt. I cannot compensate you for your writing, but I can give it shout-outs on Twitter, Facebook, and Google+.
