Sade must choose between saving her friendship and saving her friend.
When Sade discovers that her best friend Jackie is partying extra hard, she doesn’t see the big deal—at first. Jackie is missing more and more school, and Sade has to keep covering for her during sleepovers.
Sade finds Ecstasy in Jackie’s purse, and tries to ask her about it, but Jackie doesn’t want to talk. Sade soon finds herself caught in lie after lie. She finally confronts Jackie, who promises to stop, but as things spin more and more out of control, Sade realizes there’s only one thing she can do to save her friend.
Sade on the Wall is a coming of age story that delves deep into the world of teen drug addiction, and was a quarterfinalist in the 2012 Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award contest.

What Readers are Saying
…a coming-of-age tale that effectively captures the real world, without becoming so “real” that it proves dangerous to the innocent young reader—a difficult balancing act that’s a testament to Barone’s skill.
-Thomas Winship, author of the Vaempires: The Evolutionary War series
…the ending is effective and sadly realistic…
…there are small glimpses of hope in every page you turn. There’s a wonderful balance to this story—not too much drama, not too little… just enough.
-Tracie Puckett, author of the Just a Little… series
A nicely orchestrated book—a lot of themes going on here, a lot of subplots, all of them driving the book forward without being obvious or slow.
-DeAnna Knippling via Goodreads, author of Chance Damnation
