I bet you didn't know I had such a hardon for Squall and Irvine

Friday morning I have to go to court. Sorry, I didn’t rob a bank or murder anyone or anything exciting like that. Basically, I was too drunk to drive, let Mike drive, and he made a U-turn at the beginning of a highway on-ramp. No one was coming, but the state cop that was hiding decided to give him a ticket. So we’re going to try to either get it cut in half or thrown out completely, because he only missed the turn by like ten feet and we would have been fine if the cop hadn’t decided to make a fuss out of it — a $127 fuss.

So, court.

After that, though, I have a meeting with myself. I’m blocking out time to take a nap (since I have to be up super early to go with Mike), and to finish my first Tent City series story (and maybe write the second draft of another story). I haven’t done any writing in so long. I have a story that’s half finished that I meant to finish a month or so ago so I could send it to a contest. Ha! And of course, let’s not forget the novel…

In the months ahead, I’m going to have even less free time, though I’m not complaining; my aunt and I have seven new website jobs, a few new social media jobs, and a few new print jobs. Can you say, “busy”? I’m bracing myself for seventy-hour work weeks.

So Friday is a writing day. Tonight my youngest first cousin — my dad’s sister’s son — is coming to visit. This is a huge deal because his dad and my aunt are divorced, and because of a very long story, Vin hasn’t been allowed to visit for a long time. He’s coming to see Popi and the rest of us tonight, though, which makes me so happy because I know it means the world to my grandfather. After tonight’s visit, I have to do some SEO for my and my aunt’s business website and do one quick thing for a client.

Then I foresee the New Super Mario Bros for the DS in my future. That game is so fun! I’m horribly addicted to that, The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, and Bejeweled Twist. I also have to pick up the LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 game for the DS, since that’s apparently out now and I completely forgot that I had pre-ordered it.

I also restarted Final Fantasy VIII the other night. I have a game saved on disc three, but wanted to restart just for the nostalgia of it all. I saved right after talking to Quistis about her not being an instructor anymore. I love that everyone in that game has the hots for Squall: Quistis, Seifer (heh), and Rinoa. There are so many good pairings in that game… I haven’t been into slash or fan fiction in a long time, but FF8 really wakes up the yaoi in me.

Apparently SquareEnix polled readers asking whether they would like to have a remake of Final Fantasy VII done and if they’d like a remake of FF8. I’m hoping they leave FF7 alone. I love the original game, and the CGI movie was okay, but enough is enough. Let’s update FF8 and put Squall, Seifer, and Irvine in some even sexier pixels. *swoon*

So anyway, back to LEGO Harry Potter… I get paid on Friday, so guess what I’ll be picking up Friday? I’ll just have to make myself do some writing before I allow myself to play…

What video games do you love?

Men at work

Okay, I have way too many passwords. I can’t log in to my email right now because I can’t remember the password. I think it’s time to write them all down somewhere.

This morning while at work–because I was working so hard–I decided to Google my name just for the hell of it. I found links to old blogs and some other old stuff, but I also found out that I’ve been archived in the Fan History Wiki! I updated it a little and added some new links, because all they had was my FanFiction.Net profile and we all know I haven’t updated there in forever!

After that, I decided to Google perpetual smile, just for the hell of it. Guess what? PerpetualSmile.Net is numero uno! So if some lost soul Googles “perpetual smile,” they will find my awesome blog. I can’t think of anyone I know who would want to Google “perpetual smile,” but it’s the principle of the thing. (:

In other news, they are paving Washingon Ave and the bottom of Washington Ave, where it intersects with Riverside Ave. Gee, is it election season already?
